Issue 2:Poor Reception
  • Poor reception may be caused by a weak signal at your location. Underground or near tall buildings customers will sometimes experience poor reception. Try moving to a location with better access to signals.

  • The network may be busy at the current time. During peak usage periods, reception can be difficult. Try accessing the network again after waiting for a short time.

  • You may be too far away from a base station for your service provider. You can request a service area map from your service provider.

Issue 5:Unable to Add Contacts to the Device
  • The most likely cause is that the memory for storing contacts is already full. Delete unnecessary contact information from the device.

Issue 6:Echo or Noise on Calls
  • Sometimes a call connects through a poor quality network trunk at the provider. Hang up and dial again. There is a good chance you will connect through a better quality trunk.

  • You may be near a strong electromagnetic source (TVs, microwave ovens, airport radars, etc.) which can interfere with call quality. Move to a location free of such interference.

Issue 7:Unable to Access Certain Calling Features
  • Not all service providers offer all calling features and in some cases, these need to be activated by the individual account holder before they can be used. Contact your service provider for issues with calling features.

Issue 8:PIN Code is Blocked
  • If you have entered an incorrect PIN code three consecutive times, your service provider must be contacted to provide a PUK code to unblock the SIM card.

Issue 9:Battery Does Not Charge
  • The battery or charger may be damaged. Contact technical support for assistance.

  • The device temperature may be below 0 degrees C (32 degrees F) or above 45 degrees C (113 degrees F). To ensure proper function of the device, keep it between these temperature extremes.

Issue 10:Unable to Turn the Device On
  • Make sure the battery has a charge. Connect it to a computer or the charger.

  • Make sure the back cover is in place. If the back cover is loose, out of position, or missing from the device it will not turn on.

  • Remove the back cover and the battery. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the metal contacts on the corner of the battery and also the contacts in the back of the device.

Issue 11:The Device Shuts Down Unexpectedly
  • Verify that the back cover is in proper position. The device will not function if the back cover is not securely in place.

  • Verify that the battery has a charge. Connect the device to a computer or battery charger.

Issue 12:Shortened Standby Time
  • The length of standby time is affected by the service provider's configuration. The same device used with different service providers' systems may not have the same length of standby time. If you are located where the network signal is weak, temporarily turn off the device to keep it from searching for a signal base station, which uses more power.

  • The battery may be depleted or may be affected by adverse temperatures which can shorten battery life. Try charging the battery or using a new fully-charged battery.

Issue 13:Unable to Send or Receive Multimedia Messages
  • Verify that you are subscribed to the MMS service from your network service provider.

  • Verify that your MMS settings are configured properly. Make sure you have a working network connection and check with the network service provider that your MMS settings are correct.

  • The device may be out of memory. Multimedia messages take up considerable memory space when they are sent and received. If necessary, clear unnecessary data from the device to make room.

  • Verify that the device is not in Airplane mode and that you have wireless connectivity. To clear Airplane mode, touch the Status bar and clear the Airplane mode check box.
