Precision Workstation M4600 RAID Configuration

Article Summary: This article contains information regarding configuration of RAID on the Precision Workstation M4600.

Table of Contents:
  1. Requirements
  2. Configuring

Raid 0 and 1 is supported through the addition of a 2nd storage hard drive via a Solid State Drive Mini Card (SSD MC). Alternatively, Users can choose to use the 128GB SSD MC as a single solid state storage as a stand-alone drive in addition to, or in replacement of the 2.5in drive without RAID. RAID requires two hard drive storage devices.
The SSD MC utilizes the same slot as a WWAN (Broadband) card, which means if you have a SSD mini card, you cannot have a WWAN card and vice versa.
