024-914 & 024-969 error codes on Dell 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cnw, C1660w, C1760n, C1760nw, C1765nf, C1765nfw, and E525w Laser Printers



If you receive an 024-914 or 024-969 error code on your Dell 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cnw, C1660w, C1760n, C1760nw, C1765nf, C1765nfw, and E525w Laser Printer, follow the steps outlined in this article to resolve the issue.


024-914 Paper Size Mismatch error

This error usually means the size of paper in the MPF (or PSI) does not match the specified print size. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Verify that the document being printed matches the settings on the printer.
    NOTE: If you are trying to print an email or a web page, the file may be set to 'Letter'. This is the American default paper size, if your Printer is set to A4 or Auto you will receive a 024-XXX error.
  2. Cancel the print job in the print queue and print a settings report following the steps below:
    • Press the Menu button.
    • Press the Down Arrow button until Report/List is highlighted, then press the Check button.
    • Press the check mark on Printer Settings.
    • A printer settings page should print.
  3. If the report prints, then the hardware is working as designed. The issue is with the document being printed.
  4. Change the document settings to match the printer settings and print the document again.
  5. If the error continues, please contact Dell Technical Support.

024-969 No Suitable Paper

This error advises that the MPF (or PSI) has run out of paper, or the size or type of paper does not match the specified print size or type. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Ensure that paper is loaded in the MPF (PSI) and press Continue.
  2. If the error continues, cancel the print job in the print queue and print a settings report following the steps below:
    • Press the Menu button.
    • Press the Down Arrow button until Report/List is highlighted, then press the Check button.
    • Press the check mark on Printer Settings.
    • A printer settings page should print.
  3. If the report prints, then the hardware is working as designed. The issue is with the document being printed.
  4. Change the document settings to match the printer settings and print the document again.
  5. If the error continues, please contact Dell Technical Support.
