This article will show you how to install and use Alienware Support Assist to troubleshoot your system

Or you can try the following steps:

  1. Click Here to download support assist
  2. Click Run when prompted
  3. The setup process will continue automatically, click Finished once it is completed

Support Assist Overview

The SupportAssist home page provides you information about the Product/ Model, Risk Notification, Service Tag, Express Service Code and Warranty details.

The home page consists of four tiles:

Notifications Provides information on overall system health and relevant updates
Checkup Contains all the diagnostis for your system
System Info Shows all the specifications of the hardware and software on your system
Support Has all the links to Alienware's support channels

Checkup Options

This scan performs the following diagnostics:

Software Scans
  • Performance
  • Battery
  • Touchpad
  • Webcam
Hardware Scans
  • CPU
  • Memory - System Memory
  • Hard Drive (Will run on each hard drive if you have more than one)

This scan performs the following diagnostics:

  • Memory - System Memory
  • Hard Drive (Will run on each hard drive if you have more than one)
  • Video Card (Integrated)
  • Video Card (Discrete)
    Note: If you have an AMD Video card it will not be tested during this test. You can use the specific device diagnostic for AMD cards
Important
Your screen may flicker during this test or display animated graphics
Your keyboard and mouse may be unresponsive for a brief period
We recommend closing any open applications
