Prior to disabling the track stick on your Dell Portable, it is advised that you ensure that your system has the latest touchpad driver installed.
You can download and install the latest touchpad driver through
Drivers & Downloads in the Dell Support Website. It will be based on your computer's model and Operating System.
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Click Printers and Other Hardware
3. Then click Mouse
4. On the Mouse Properties window, go to the Device Select tab and choose between Stick, Stick and Pad, or Pad only.
5. Click the Stick tab to adjust the track stick settings
6. Select the desired settings and click Apply
7. Click OK to save the settings and close the window

2. Click Settings
3. Then click Control Panel
4. Double-click the Mouse icon to bring up the Mouse Properties window
5. Click Device Select to disable the touch pad and track stick
6. Click OK to save the settings and close the window
1. Click on the touchpad icon on the lower right part of the taskbar
2. A menu will open where you can adjust the settings for the track stick
3. Click on the disable radio button and click on Apply
4. Click OK to save the settings and close the window
