How Do I Run the DirectX Diagnostics Tool? - KB Article - 119250




Running the DirectX Diagnostics Tool

  1. Click the Start button.

  2. Click Run.
    The Run window appears.

  3. In the Open: field, type:
    Dxdiag

  4. Click OK.
    The DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appears.

  5. Click the Display tab.

  6. Verify that DirectDraw Acceleration, Direct3D Acceleration and AGP Texture Acceleration are enabled.

  7. If these features are disabled, click the Enable button next to each feature.

  8. Click the appropriate Test button to run a diagnostic test on the feature you want to test.
