Download
1. Click Download File, to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Save or Save this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears. 3. From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop. 4. If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file icon appears on your desktop.
Install
1. Double-click the new icon on the desktop. 2. The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or unzip to ''C:\DELL\DRIVERS\4CF77''. (Where '4CF77' is the name of the file to be downloaded). Write down this path so the executable (I.e.Setup.exe) file can be found later. 3. The Self-Extractor window appears. 4. Click OK. 5. After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor window is still open, close it. 6. Click Start button and then click Run. 7. Type ''C:\DELL\DRIVERS\4CF77'' (where '4CF77' is the name of the file) in the Open textbox and then click OK. 8. Follow the on-screen installation instructions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Custom Instructions for BR214182.exe:
For Bootable Diskette: FLOPPY IMAGE WILL TAKE LONGER TO UPDATE THAN THE CD OR USB KEY.
1. Click on the (BR214182.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again. 2. Choose "Continue" in the next window to create a bootable floppy. 3. Close all applications, and re-boot from the floppy image just created. 4. The Samsung Firmware Update will start automatically. 5. The utility will autoscan and update the appropiate Samsung MCCOE64G8MPP-0VAD1 and MCBQE32G8MPP-0VAD1. Once completed, a message detailing drive model, serial number and updated PS105D15 firware will appear. 7. Remove the floppy diskette and power off your system. 8. Power on your system to continue normal operation.
Custom Instructions for R214182.EXE: For Bootable CD option
(PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE)
1. Click on the (R214182.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again. 2. Press "Continue" then "OK" to extract the files to the provided location. 3. If you have CD imaging software that supports the .ISO image format the file "C:\DELL\Drivers\R214182\Samsung Utility\Samsung Utility.ISO" is an image for a bootable CD that will automatically run the application. 4. Boot to the CD. 5. The Seagate utility will start automatically. 6. The utility will autoscan and update the appropiate Samsung MCCOE64G8MPP-0VAD1 and MCBQE32G8MPP-0VAD1 Drive. 7. Once completed, a message detailing drive model, serial number and updated PS105D15 firware will appear. 8. Remove the CD and power off your PC. 9. Power on your PC to continue normal operation.
For Other Bootable option (IE. USB key, etc.)

1. Click on the (R214182.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again. 2. Press "Continue" then "OK" to extract the files to the provided location. 3. The files are located in "C:\DELL\Drivers\R214182\Files" directory. 4. Add the files to your bootable media, reboot to the memory key and run the "UPDATE.BAT" File. 5. The Seagate utility will start automatically. 6. The utility will autoscan and update the appropiate Samsung MCCOE64G8MPP-0VAD1 and MCBQE32G8MPP-0VAD1 Drive. 7. Once completed, a message detailing drive model, serial number and updated PS105D15 firware will appear. 8. Remove the Bootable Media and power off your system.
