Additional details

The Broadcom NetXtreme II devices require two system drivers, one is the VBD or Virtual Bus Device driver and the other is the NDIS Client driver. Due to this architecture, the Windows drivers for NetXtreme II are provided in an InstallShield package, for ease of installation. To install the drivers, just run the setup.exe in this package.

If an unattended install or remote install is required, the individual Plug and Play drivers can be extracted from the installer by running the setup.exe with the option "/a". This will extract the drivers to a specified directory.

Please see the included files in the ReadMeFirst directory in this package for further information and instructions.

Due to the complexity of the drivers, and dependancies on the application (BACS), the intermediate driver and the fact that both the NetXtreme I and NetXtreme II drivers use the same intermediate drivers and application, the Broadcom network drivers are versioned according to a family of drivers and not the file version of the acctualy kernel level driver. The InstallShield package version is the driver family version when inventoried by the Dell Update Package and other Dell Version management utilities. This family version contains both the NetXtreme I and NetXtreme Drivers as well as the applications and other files that are used to run, manage and track the network devices. This family version is referred to as 10.0/T3.0 in this release, and the installer reported version is 10.18.04. To check the version of individual files included in this release, please see the Release.txt in the ReadMeFirst directory.
