Managed Node for Windows, or OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA), is a comprehensive systems management tool for PowerEdge servers. It provides easy-to-use management and administration of local and remote systems through a set of integrated maangement services. OMSA resides solely on the system being managed and is accessible both locally and remotely.
Services and Features: * Instrumentation Service - provides rapid access to detailed fault and performance information * Basic Storage Management Service - provides RAID and external SCSI enclosure information via the Array Manager agent * Enhanced Storage Management Service - provides additional features for configuring storage RAID and external SCSI enclosure information via the OpenManage Storage Services agent * Diagnostic Service - provides a suite of programs that can diagnose problems on individual systems * Logs - displays logs of commands issued to or by the system, monitored hardware events, POST events, and system alerts

Format Description:
This file format consists of an archive of files that may be decompressed to a directory on the hard drive. The installation can then be done from that directory.
* Diagnostics is no longer available through Server Administrator. To run diagnostics on your system, install Dell PowerEdge Diagnostics from our Dell PowerEdge Service and Diagnostic Utilities CD or download and install Dell PowerEdge Diagnostics from the Dell Support website at support.dell.com. Dell PowerEdge Diagnostics is a stand-alone application that can be run without installing Server Administrator.
*Added service pack file (MSP) support for Windows upgrade from version 5.0 and later. MSP files are much smaller in size and are available from the Dell Support website at "support.dell.com."
*You must uninstall OpenManage software versions that are older than version 3.0 before installing this version.

Download 1.Click the “Download Now” link to download the file. 2.If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click the “I agree” link to accept the agreement. 3.When the File Download window appears, click “Save” to save the file to your hard drive.
Extract Files 1.Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click to unzip the download package. 2.Specify the location to unzip the files (default is "C:\OpenManage"). 3.Click on the Unzip button to extract the files.
Installation 1.Browse to the location where the files were unzipped. 2.Double-click the setup.exe file under the "windows" subdirectory and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: Consult the Dell OpenManage Installation and Security User's Guide under the "docs" subfolder in the extracted location for detailed installation instructions.
