Fixes & Enhancements
Enhancements: - Adds RHEL5 and Fedora Core 6 driver disk creation. - Adds RHEL5 and SLES10 weak-module invocation on module install and uninstall. This reduces the need for the dkms_autoinstaller service to rebuild modules if the Kernel ABI used by a given module has not changed. - Adds ability to generate .iso, .tar, and floppy .img driver disks. This allows driver disk images to be larger than the size of a single floppy disk.
Fixes: - patch from http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=27985 assigns new modprobe.conf alias ordinals starting at zero. - set CLEAN properly even if MAKE[] isn't set in dkms.conf - fix install.sh buglet installing the manpage
Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
