OS IPMI driver and BMC-WATCHDOG tool should be removed before BMC firmware update and add it back after BMC update finish in RHEL6U4 and later version.

1.Remove BMC-WATCHDOG service if it is running.
command 1: service bmc-watchdog stop
2.Force to remove OS IPMI driver before doing KCS firmware update
command 1: service ipmi stop
command 2: echo "remove,kcs,i/o,0xca2,rsp=1,rsi=1,rsh=0,irq=0,ipmb=0" >/sys/module/ipmi_si/parameters/hotmod
3.Run BMC firmware DUP file to update BMC firmware
4.Add OS IPMI driver back after KCS firmware update is done.
command 1: echo "add,kcs,i/o,0xca2,rsp=1,rsi=1,rsh=0,irq=0,ipmb=0" >/sys/module/ipmi_si/parameters/hotmod
command 2: service ipmi start
5.Add BMC-WATCHDOG service back if it is been removed.
command 1: service bmc-watchdog start

Download

Installation
