Dell OptiPlex System BIOS, A09
The following problems in the A08 BIOS were corrected to generate the A09 BIOS:
1. Fixed problem with ISA PnP Adaptec SCSI card causing the system to hang.
2. Locked down "TIME" and "DATE" fields when setup password enabled.
3. Fixed problem with STB Trio64V+ intermittently causing the system to lock up.
4. Added updating the "DATE" fields continuously like the "TIME" fields for Year 2K.
5. Added NIC LSA ROM 0.99j.02 to fix DHCP handoff not finding boot server.
6. Cmos getting corrupted when SMBIOS disabled the NIC.
7. Reversed SMBIOS UUID bytes
8. Change DIMM error processing to preserve bits for later OS apps.
9. Fixed keyboard hang with scanner wand that attached to the PS/2 port.
10. Fix RTC wake up to wake up on our events, but give precedence to OS events.
11. Remove incorrectly setting of CMOS RSTFLG in RBU code.
12. Add ATI fix to get I/O base address through PCI, not scanning.
13. Add ATI fix for Vanguard SGRAM corrupting colors.

Important Information
Note: Some versions of Intellimouse and the Dell-branded mouse drivers are incompatible with Win98 when ACPI is enabled. Please check the version of mouse drivers if you wish to install this BIOS rev which includes ACPI.
Intellipoint mouse driver revs prior to 2.2A are incompatible with Win98 when ACPI is enabled. Drivers are available from Microsoft.
Dell-branded mouse drivers prior to revision 8.02A are incompatible with Win98 when ACPI is enabled. Drivers are available in the Dell Input Device Drivers library. For the Dell-branded mouse driver rev 8.02A, the filename is DD7758C.exe.
