Firmware Dell Update Package for Intel 82599 10GBE cards
Level of Importance:Recommended
Dell recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains feature enhancements or changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).
Important Information
Important infomation about this release:
1. Before you attempt to run the Windows firmware update tool (NETW_FRMW_WIN_R298844.EXE)
make sure the Windows base driver is loaded on your 82599 device.
2. If you are using a Linux operating system, make sure:
- First, load the appropriate base driver
- Second ,install the latest DKMS program (from support.dell.com)
- Third, run the NETW_FRMW_LX_R298844.BIN to update the firmware.
3. Please go over the fit_12.5.2_A01.txt file for more information on this firmware update tool.
Note: This Dell firmware update package does not work with any Xen kernel.
