Description

Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) provides a comprehensive, one-to-one systems management solution in two ways: from an integrated, web browser-based graphical user interface (GUI) and from a command line interface (CLI) through the operating system. Server Administrator is designed for system administrators to manage systems locally and remotely on a network. It allows system administrators to focus on managing their entire network by providing comprehensive one-to-one systems management.

Important Information

Dell OpenManage 7.2 A01 allows you to install Server Administrator in a granular way on Linux OS flavors where you can choose not to install management interfaces like SNMP, Command Line Interface, Operating System Logging, and so on Server Administrator functionality is the same in A00 and A01. You can upgrade to A01 from previous versions (OM 5.x, 6.x and OM 7.x). Once you have installed Server Administrator, to add more Server Administrator specific components, run the install script again and select the required components. To uninstall any sub components of Server Administrator, you must uninstall the complete application. Note: You cannot upgrade OpenManage 7.2 A00 to A01

Installation Instructions

            
Download
1. Click the Download File link to download the file. 
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.

Extract Files
1. cd to the directory where the tar.gz is downloaded.
2. Run tar -zxvf on the tar.gz to unzip the contents into the current directory.

Installation
1. Login as root to the system and cd to the directory with the unzipped contents.
2. Run ./setup.sh and follow the guided installation steps.
