PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE. POWER OFF THE SYSTEM AFTER FIRMWARE UPDATE IS COMPLETED.
For Diskette:

1) Click on (BR64893.exe). This will begin the diskette creation process.
2) Follow the instructions provided.
3) Insert a blank diskette when requested.
4) Once the diskette creation is complete, restart your system with the diskette inserted. (PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE)
5) The utility will identify your hard drive (Fujitsu MHT2020AT, MHT2030AT, MHT2040AT, and MHT2060AT) and require you to press "Y" & "Enter" to proceed. (The utility will NOT flash an unsupported model)
7) The utility will return you to an "A:\>" when complete.
8) Remove the diskette and restart your system.


For Removable media and bootable flash memory storage devices:

*** Removable media such as Zip Drive & USB Flash Memory must already contain system files to boot to DOS ***

1) The files contained in (R64893.EXE) should be extracted to a bootable media. The default extraction directory is C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R64893.
2) Once the files are extracted, copy the contents of C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R64893 directory to the bootable source.
3) Boot to that source. (PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE)
4) The utility will identify your hard drive (Fujitsu MHT2020AT, MHT2030AT, MHT2040AT, and MHT2060AT) and require you to press "Y" & "Enter" to proceed. (The utility will NOT flash an unsupported model)
5) The utility will exit and return to the prompt it was executed from when complete.


For bootable CD-ROM image:

*** CD-R/RW recording software must support *.ISO extension in order to use this image file. ***

1) Save the FJ009B.ISO to a known directory - recommend Desktop for easy access.
2) Start your CD-R/RW recording software software.
3) Locate the downloaded FJ009B.ISO.
4) Insert a blank CD-R/RW and start the recording process.
