PCTel MDC, v. 2.00.61.1, A02PTCH
This patch can be used on any of the three named systems that shipped from the Dell factory prior to February 22, 2002 to regions outside of the United States. The factory-installed version of Modem Helper that shipped prior to that date can falsely report dial tone failures in various countries in Europe and Asia. This patch updates a file in the customer diagnostic that fixes this issue and updates the version of Modem Helper from 2.00.61 to 2.00.61.1.

Description

This patch updates a file in the customer diagnostic that fixes this issue and updates the version of Modem Helper from 2.00.61 to 2.00.61.1.

Dell recommends the customer review specifics about the update to determine if it applies to your system. The update contains changes that impact only certain configurations, or provides new features that may/may not apply to your environment.
Important Information
Any systems shipped AFTER February 22, 2002 will include a fully updated version of the customer diagnostic and will NOT need this patch. Additionally, any systems shipped prior to this date to the US do not need this patch at all.

Installation Instructions
1. Download the file to your computer
2. Once the file is downloaded, double-click the executable
3. The file will extract to the C:\Dell\Drivers\SunMH directory
4. After all files are extracted successfully, click OK and the installation will proceed automatically.
