SupportAssist Enterprise replaces SupportAssist for Servers for proactive and predictive automated support without the use of a management console.

SupportAssist Enterprise offers these new features and capabilities:
1) Monitoring extended from PowerEdge servers to Dell EMC Networking devices and PowerEdge blade enclosures and modular infrastructure platforms without the use of a management console
2) Option to skip registration at time of installation (unregistered mode) offering the ability to use SupportAssist for:
a) Point of need collections during troubleshooting with tech support (DSET replacement)
b) Deployment site readiness and validation
c) Collections from disconnected sites
3) Application mode optimization allows users to easily transition from unregistered mode for a single collection to registered mode for full proactive and predictive automated support
4) Add multiple devices in one step via structured file format (CSV)
5) User interfaceis now available in Brazilian Portuguese in addition to previously available English, French, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Japanese
6) Updating the application separately from Dell EMC alert policy for support case creation and Dell EMC supported product policy file for adding new Dell EMC products

SupportAssist Enterprise can monitor hardware issues that occur in Dell EMC server and Dell EMC networking devices. For Dell EMC storage devices, SupportAssist Enterprise can only collect and send system information.

Dell SupportAssist for Servers
To install SupportAssist on a Linux operating system:
1. Open the terminal window on the system running the Linux operating system.
2. Browse to the folder where the SupportAssist Enterprise installation package is available.
3. Perform one of the following:
a. Type chmod 744 supportassistenterprise_1.x.x.bin and press Enter.
b. Type chmod +x supportassistenterprise_1.x.x.bin and press Enter.
4. Type ./supportassistenterprise_1.x.x.bin and press Enter.
The Welcome to the Dell SupportAssist Enterprise Installer message is displayed.
5. To continue, type c.
The SupportAssist Enterprise License Agreement is displayed.
6. Read the license agreement and type y to start the installation.
After the installation is completed, the SupportAssist Enterprise Login page opens in a web browser window.
7. Type the user name and password of a user with root privileges, and then click Login.
The SupportAssist Enterprise Registration Wizard is displayed.
