1.The AMD Opteron 4200 series processor works with BIOS v2.x.x only. The customer needs to flash the BIOS to v2.x.x before upgrading to the Opteron 4200 series processor.
2.The SYSTEM SETUP settings will reset to a default value while the system upgrades from BIOS v1.x.x to v2.x.x. Dell recommends that the customer records the current SYSTEM SETUP settings before flashing the BIOS, and manually updates the settings after the BIOS has been flashed.
3.You can update systems with BIOS v2.1.2 and v2.1.4 using the DOS package only. Dell update packages are not supported.

DOS package install instructions:
NOTE: You must provide a DOS bootable media, such as a USB key. This executable file does not create the DOS system files.

1. Browse to the location where the PEC6105BIOS020500.exe.
2. Copy the file PEC6105BIOS020500.exe to the bootable device and renaming file to 6105V250.EXE.
3. Boot the system to DOS by using the bootable device.
4. Run the 6105V250.EXE under DOS.
5. Waiting the update process completion automatically.

Windows package install instructions:
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded C6105_BIOS_7FPJX_2.5.0.EXE and C6105_BIOS_7FPJX_WN64_2.5.0.EXE files, and then double-click to launch update.
2. Click Install icon to continue.
3. Waiting the update process completion automatically.

Linux package install instructions:
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded C6105_BIOS_7FPJX_LN_2.5.0.BIN file and run the file in command line.
