Dell recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains feature enhancements or changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).
Important Information
"1.The 2.x.x BIOS is required for to enable 4200-series processor support. \u000a2.When the 2.x.x BIOS is flashed over the 1.x.x BIOS the CMOS settings will be reset to default settings. It is recommended that the customer record the current BIOS settings before flashing. After the BIOS is flashed update the BIOS settings. \u000a3.If flashing the 2.x.x BIOS to upgrade to 4200-series processors, the 4100-series processors need to be installed for the flashing process. The 4200-series processor can be installed after the 2.x.x BIOS flash is complete."
