The Dell Server Management Pack Suite v4.1 for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2/SP1 and System Center Essentials 2007 SP1/2010 integrate Dell Servers, Dell Remote Access Controller and Dell Chassis Management Controller monitoring into Operations Manager. The Management Packs provide a list of Dell-specific views that you can use to observe and drill down the system status in a network. The version 4.1 release consists of four Management Packs: 1) Dell Windows Server Scalabe Management Pack (Dell.WindowsServer.Scalable.mp) for a light weight scalable server discovery and monitoring of Dell Systems. 2) Dell Windows Server Detailed Management Pack (Dell.WindowsServer.Detailed.mp) for a detailed discovery and monitoring of Dell Servers and its components. 3) Dell Remote Access Controller Management Pack (Dell.OutOfBand.DRAC.mp) for discovery, monitoring and trap processing of Dell Remote Access 4, Dell Remote Access Controller 5 and Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 6. 4) Dell Chassis Management Controller Management Pack (Dell.OutOfBand.CMC.mp) for discovery, monitoring, and trap processing of Chassis Management Controllers and Dell Modular Chassis Remote Access Controllers. And three utilities: 1) Dell Base folder utility (Dell.Connections.HardwareLibrary.mp) for the basic folder structure and Root node. 2) Dell Overrides utility (Dell.WindowsServer.InformationAlertsOn.mp) for turning ON the Informational Alerts provided in the Dell Windows Server Scalable Management Pack. 3) Dell Chassis-ModularServers Correlation utility (Dell.Chassis.Blade.Correlation.mp) for correlation of Chassis Management Controller with the contained modular blades of the chassis.

Custom Instructions for Dell_Server_Management_Pack_Suite_v4.1_A00.exe: 

1. Download the Dell Server Management Pack Suite v4.1 from the Dell Support website at support.dell.com.

2. Copy the downloaded file, Dell_Server_Management_Pack_Suite_v4.1_A00.exe to a temporary folder (say C:\Temp) on your local system.

3. Run the Dell_Server_Management_Pack_Suite_v4.1_A00.exe and click on Unzip.  This will extract the Management Packs, Utilities and the Readme Files to C:\Dell Management Packs\Server Mgmt Suite\4.1 (default location).
