Important Information

This software code release requires all V2.8 components; firmware, device driver and management utilities. Using some components from previous releases may cause some unknown errors. Also, this driver will report one of two versions depending on where you look. In Device Manager, it will report as version 2.8-0.6085, but in the file properties (and in OMSS) it will report as version 2.8-0.6076. This is a known cosmetic-only issue and causes no functional problems.

Fixes & Enhancements

Fixes/Enhancements - A new install section has been created for the Perc2 controller that does not remove the hibernation filter driver binary and service. -Filter driver checks Dispatch_Level before calling KeWaitForSingleObject avoid bugcheck 0xB8 -Modified unknown AIF handling to prevent Driver Verifier hang. -STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER returned for requests with: Zero-length input buffer size.Invalid input buffer size, i.e. not the size of the expected structure. Invalid memory address for the input buffer.A null input buffer. -Deletes perc2hib reference in lower filter list rather than entire filter list via inf. -Corrected a major entry-point in the filter driver that Windows uses for major Plug-N-Play requests (IRP_MJ_PNP). This entry point was incorrectly passing the request to the next lower device in the device stack. -Deleted the section that removes the upper and lower filters. This section caused errors to be logged in the setupapi.log in Windows. -Added support for new vSCSI implementation
