Release of version v100 of SDLT320 drive firmware , along with all previous versions of drive and library firmware.

Dell recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains feature enhancements or changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).

Important Information

Please view the installation instructions included with this firmware release for important information. This firmware update must be run on a computer system that is attached to the PowerVault 132T. The utilities included with this package only run in Windows operating systems. It is important that you power cycle the PowerVault 132T tape library and all systems connected to it once the firmware update has completed. Note: When performing SCSI based drive firmware upgrades if Yosemite Tapeware 7.0 is installed on your server it must be closed and the following service: twunxsvc must be stopped. At the terminal type /usr/local/tapeware/twunxsvc x to stop the service. Then perform the firmware upgrade steps. To restart the service type /usr/local/tapeware/twunxsvc s. If the above steps are not taken then the devices will not be found by the firmware upgrade tool.

Includes multiple fixes for Read/Write, Error Handling, and Error Recovery Procedures. Also include addition of log pages 14 and 16. Page 14 included statistical usage/event information for the drive. Page 16 included a log of the last 6 errors that the drive has encountered. The log includes the error and the cartridge barcode/serial number that was present when the error occurred. This can aid in troubleshoot bad media vs bad drive issues. Both logs will be readable using PowerEdge Diagnostics V2.8 available Q1 '07.

Hard Drive Installation (via WinZip) with HTML Pop-Up Window for 
DELL_POWERVAULT-132T-TAPE-LI_A13_R222331.EXE

Download
1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.When the File Download window appears, click Save this program to 
disk (Windows XP users, click Save) and click OK.  The Save In: window 
appears. 
3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to 
select Desktop and click Save.  The file will download to your desktop.
4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close.  The file 
name icon appears on your desktop.

Install
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled DELL_POWERVAULT-132T-TAPE-LI_A13_R222331.EXE.  
The Self-Extractor window appears. 
2.Click OK or Continue.
The Self-Extracting Driver Installation window appears and prompts to 
extract files to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R222331. 
3.Leave all of the default settings and click Unzip or OK.  If the 
directory doesn't exist, you'll be prompted to create one. Click Yes. A 
Self Extractor window appears and indicates C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R222331 files were 
extracted. 
4.Click OK.
Follow the on-screen installation instructions in the window.

1.The Dell Software Installation Documentation window appears. 
2.Click the Install Now button.   A File Download window appears. 
3.Click Run this program from its current location and click OK.  
The Security Warning window appears. 
4.Click Yes.  The InstallShield Wizard window appears. 
5.Follow the on-screen instructions.
