Release includes firmware previously released in the A10 revision. Added DUP support for SLES Linux
**DFU is a tool included in the zip-pack and tar.gz format. This tool will allow users to manually update one drive at a time.
**DUP utility (Dell Update Package) will allow users to automatically udpate all tape drives supported. DUP packages can be scripted to run on Linux and Window Systems.

Level of Importance:Recommended
Dell recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains feature enhancements or changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).
Important Information
**Note a restart of the system is required to complete the firmware update process.
The linux application requires a minimum version of RHEL 3.0 with GCC 3.2.3 libraries or SLES9 Enterprise edition. For systems that have tape drives running earlier versions of Linux, please use a system that has the new Linux version or a Windows system to perform the drive update.

Installation Instructions
Hard Drive Installation (via WinZip) with HTML Pop-Up Window for
R159730.EXE
Download
1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.When the File Download window appears, click Save this program to
disk (Windows XP users, click Save) and click OK. The Save In: window
appears.
3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
name icon appears on your desktop.
Install
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R159730.EXE.
The Self-Extractor window appears.
2.Click OK or Continue.
The Self-Extracting Driver Installation window appears and prompts to
extract files to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R159730.
3.Leave all of the default settings and click Unzip or OK. If the
directory doesn't exist, you'll be prompted to create one. Click Yes. A
Self Extractor window appears and indicates C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R159730 files were
extracted.
4.Click OK.
Follow the on-screen installation instructions in the window.
HTML Pop-Up With Install Now Button
1.The Dell Software Installation Documentation window appears.
2.Click the Install Now button. A File Download window appears.
3.Click Run this program from its current location and click OK.
The Security Warning window appears.
4.Click Yes. The InstallShield Wizard window appears.
5.Follow the on-screen instructions.
Custom Instructions for r159730.tar.gz:
Linux
1.Copy the file R159730.tar.gz file to the Linux system.
2.Open a console session and go to the directory where the file was saved and type the command: tar –zxvf R159730.tar.gz
3.Go to the linux directory of the unziped files and type ./DFU and follow the instructions on the screen.

Download
1. Click the "Download Now" link to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click "Save" to save the file to your hard drive.
Installation
1. Read over the release information presented by executing the "./TAPE_FRMW_LX_R159730.BIN --version" command from the shell.
2. Download and install any prerequisites identified in the above step before proceeding.
3. Install any necessary Embedded Systems Management firmware prior to this BIOS update.
4. Run the update by executing "./TAPE_FRMW_LX_R159730.BIN" from the shell.
5. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update.
