Dell MD Storage Array Management Pack Suite for System Center Operations Manager, v.4.1, A00
The Dell MD Storage Array Management Pack Suite v4.1 for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2/SP1 and System Center Essentials 2007 SP1/2010 integrates Dell PowerVault MD Storage Arrays monitoring into Operations Manager. The Management Packs provide a list of Dell-specific views that you can use to observe and drill down the system status in a network.
The version 4.1 release consists of:
Two Management Packs:
1) (Dell.Storage.MDStorageArray.mp) - Dell MD Storage Array Management Pack for discovery and monitoring Dell PowerVault MD Storage Arrays. Health Monitoring is enabled only for the Dell PowerVault MD Storage Array and disabled for all its components .
2) (Dell.Storage.MDStorageArray.DetailedMonitoringOn.mp) - Dell MD Storage Array Detailed Monitoring On Override Management Pack enables health monitoring for all components under Dell PowerVault MD Storage Array
One utility Management Pack:
1) (Dell.Connections.HardwareLibrary.mp) - Dell Base folder utility for the basic folder structure and Root node.
Tools and Install Guides:
1) Dell_MDStorageArray_ABB.exe :- Self extractor package consisting of DellABB executable, DellABB configuration files, IP configuration file, Dell Discovery Utility and associated Online help, Readme.
2) DellMPv41_MDStorageArray_IG.pdf :- contains installation and upgrade instructions for user to get started on using the Dell MD Storage Array Management Pack effectively.

Important Information
* Dell Management Pack version 4.1 is supported on System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2/SP1 and System Center Essentials 2007 SP1/2010 only. It does not function with prior releases of the MOM product.
* Upgrades from Dell MP v4.0 to Dell MP v4.1 is supported.
* Upgrades from previous Dell MP v3.x to Dell MP v4.1 are not supported.

Installation Instructions
Custom Instructions for Dell_MD_StorageArray_Management_Pack_Suite_v4.1_A00.exe:
1. Download the Dell MD Storage Array Management Pack Suite v4.1 from the Dell Support website at support.dell.com.
2. Copy the downloaded file,
Dell_MD_StorageArray_Management_Pack_Suite_v4.1_A00.exe to a temporary folder (say C:\Temp) on your local system.
3. Run the Dell_MD_StorageArray_Management_Pack_Suite_v4.1_A00.exe and extract the Management Packs or utilities. This will extract the management pack and the readme files to the disk (by default the files are extracted to "C:\Dell Management Packs\MD Storage Array Mgmt Suite\4.1").
4. For detailed install and upgrade instructions refer to the corresponding readme in the above directory.
