Dell SAS/SATA Hard Drive EFI Firmware Utility
This is a general maintenance release utility for updating firmware for SAS and SATA drives. It is a re-release of the previous version with additional firmware updates. This is for use on PowerEdge platforms that support UEFI boot mode for SAS and SATA drive updates and running on Windows. Please refer to DOS firmware update utility for older platforms. Current DOS release is A43.

Dell recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains feature enhancements or changes that will help keep your system software current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers and software).
Important Information
This update will not run if any of the following conditions exist 1. Any Virtual Disk that is not optimal. 2. A RAID container that is performing a Background Initialization or Consistency Check. 3. A Rebuild, Resync, or copyback function is taking place. 4. A RAID set that is Partially Degraded or in a Degraded state. This update will run on drives remaining in a RAID set that is in a Offline state.

Download
1.Click Download now, to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save or Save this program to your hard drive.
Installation
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file.
2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you extracting files to the dialog box indicated folder path (C:\DELL\DRIVERS\xxxxx). Write down this path so the executable (I.e.Setup.exe) file can be found later for reinstallation if needed.
3. The Self-Extractor window appears.
4. Click OK.
5. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update.
