For more information on upgrading to FluidFS Version 3 (Service Pack 3.0.920760), see the section Upgrading to FluidFS V3 in the Dell FluidFS V3 NAS Solutions For PowerVault NX3600, and NX3610 Administrator's Guide at dell.com/support/manuals. Note: Do not rename the service pack file upon receiving it. The service pack name must be DellFluidFS-3.0.920760-SP.sh when it is uploaded to the system or the installation may fail.
Dell NAS Appliance
Note: Follow the instructions in the Administrator's Guide to ensure that the system can be upgraded. Also ensure that the environmental services, like DNS, Active Directory and LDAP/NIS, are reachable from the NAS system and are functioning before the upgrade.

1.Determine the current version of FluidFS in NX36x0 by performing one of the following:
a.Open WebUI to the NX36x0 appliance, go to System Management - General - System Information. System version will be displayed here.

b.Open SSH connection to the NX36x0 appliance and at the CLI prompt and run the command
system general info system-version view

System version = 2.0.xxxx

Note: To access the NX36x0 CLI from a workstation, use an SSH client, and connect to the NAS Management VIP address using the admin account.

2. Request the service pack from FluidFS upgrade team

3. Extract the service pack, if received as zip file. The service pack name MUST be DellFluidFS-3.0.920760-SP.sh.

4.Follow the instructions in the Upgrading to FluidFS V3 chapter in the Dell FluidFS V3 NAS Solutions For PowerVault NX3600, and NX3610 Administrator's Guide.
