Fixes & Enhancements
WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 4.3 OF DELL OPENMANAGE SERVER ADMINISTRATOR?
* Leveraged native install technologies for each operating system for Server Administrator installs. For NetWare, NetWare installation scripts are used with no java dependency.
The following features are new in Array Manager Version 3.7:
* In this release, Array Manager is installed using the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator installation process. The Server Administrator installation uses features native to the operating system.
* In previous releases of Array Manager, the Array Manager installation included dependency checking to verify that the system has a valid configuration before installing Array Manager. Some of these dependency checks are now performed at Array Manager runtime and not during installation. See the Array Manager online help for more information.
* After installation, support for the PV660F Storage System is disabled by default. You can enable support for the PV660F Storage System using the Array Manager Utilties after installation. See the "Enabling and Disabling the PV660F Fibre Channel RAID and Enclosure Management" section in the installation chapter of the Array Manager online help for more information.
* Implement lifecycle management -- allow upgrade from Systems Management CD version 3.0 and later only.
* For a complete list of fixes/enhancements, refer to the README file, readme1st.txt
