Note:
Before updating this firmware, ensure that you back up the data in the system and close all open applications. It is also recommended to connect the power cable when it is not a desktop and disconnect all external storage devices.

Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility

Download
1. Click Download File to download the file.
2. When download is complete, run Micron 1100 DKN86_ZPE.exe to extract this file.
3. Select Continue, and take note of the extract location.

Upgrade Procedure
1. Close all open applications, and save your work before the firmware update process.
2. Go to the location where you have downloaded the package.
3. Right-click the file that is named and select Run as administrator to run the firmware (FW) update utility with administrator privilege.
The tool scans the system and list all supported and detected SanDisk SSDs. If an SSD is not listed, click the Refresh icon to rescan the system. If a Refresh fails to detect the SSD, check the SATA connection and try again.
If a supported target SSD is not detected, the SanDisk SSD Updater Tool lists the supported SSD models and firmware versions.
4. Select your drive from the list.
5. Click the Firmware tab.
6. Click Update Firmware.
Do not interrupt the firmware update. A dialog box is displayed when the firmware update is complete.
7. After a successful firmware update, the system and drive must be powered off to activate the new firmware.
8. Relaunch the application after powering up the system to confirm that the firmware is up-to-date on the drive.
