Dell OpenManage Essentials 1.1.1 is a patch to be installed over OME 1.1.0. Dell OpenManage Essentials is a 'one to many' console used to monitor Dell Enterprise hardware. It can discover, inventory, and monitor the health of Dell Servers, Storage, and network devices. Essentials can also update the drivers and BIOS of your Dell PowerEdge Servers and allow you to run remote tasks. OME can increase system uptime, automate repetitive tasks, and prevent interruption in critical business operations

Dell OpenManage Essentials 1.1.1 is a patch to be installed over OME 1.1.0. Dell highly recommends applying this update as soon as possible. The update contains critical fixes in OpenManage Essentials. Please note that this release of the OpenManage Essentials must be applied on v1.1.0.6063. - This patch can only be installed on OME 1.1.0. It is not supported on OME 1.0 or OME 1.0.1 releases. - After installing this patch, re-run discovery task on all the discovery ranges to make sure connection status for all the devices is determined accurately. - If you received a temporary SQL trigger fix directly from Dell support and this fix is detected in the OME instance, it will be removed on installation of 1.1.1 and a permanent fix will be applied. - After installing OME 1.1.1, the "About" box in OME console still shows version info as 1.1.0.6063. To confirm if the patch is installed, run this utility from OS command prompt: Program Files (x86)\Dell\SysMgt\Essentials\wwwroot\Essentials EssentialsVersion.exe -v The version displayed is: 1.1.1.0 - If the patch fails to stop/start OME services during install, manually stop/start the OME services.

Enhancements: - Connection status is off and "System is down" alert is generated for all the devices in Unknown group whenever status poll runs. - Email alert action sends time information in UTC instead of OME server time zone. - Japanese/Chinese alert emails are not received or shows unknown characters. - Making email alert action application to be more efficient. - Discovery of instrumented devices also discovered non-supported devices. - Task names contains unknown characters in Japanese and Simplified Chinese languages. - DSM Essentials Task manager service does not start after installing OME 1.1. - Health status on Servers with Server administrator uninstalled or disabled may not get updated.
