The installer will not update chipset INF files if they are already present on the system and are valid, even if from a prior release. In this case, chipset update is unnecessary and will not be performed, and driver revisions will not be updated. There is no impact on system functionality, as the purpose of the chipset release is to simply remove warnings in Windows Device Manager.

The update may be forced by using the following procedure:
1) Open a DOS prompt
2) Navigate to the folder the chipset archive was extracted to
3) Type the command: "setup -overall" and press .

1. Click 'Download Now' to download the file.
2. Save the driver package to a local location.

Installation

1. Run the executable.
2. Follow the on-screen commands and extract the contents to a desired location (the default is C:\Dell\Drivers\Y54F9\).
3. Once the extraction is complete, navigate to the extraction folder and run Setup.exe if the Intel install utility does not autorun.
4. Follow the onscreen directions to install the drivers and restart afterward if prompted.
