Installation instructions
To update the Dell OpenManage HIP version 3.5.2 on managed node servers
running either Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Family or Windows NT, perform
the following steps:
1. In Windows Explorer, double-click the file "dbagt001.exe" located in
the self-extracting zip file (HIPS6up1.exe).
2. Click "Update". When the update finishes, a completion message box
displays.
To update the Dell OpenManage HIP 3.5.2 on systems running Novell NetWare
version 4.x or 5.x, perform the following steps:
NOTE: If you have not rebooted your system since you first installed Dell
OpenManage HIP, the following update procedure will not work.
1. Unload the Dell baseboard agent by entering the command: "unload
dcbase".
2. Map a disk drive from a workstation to the path on the PowerEdge system
running the Novell NetWare 4.x or 5.x operating system's "sys
volume".
3. Copy the updated baseboard agent with the command:
Copy x:\bin\dcbase.nlm y:\system\dell\dcbase.nlm (where x:\ is the
location of the extracted files and y:\ is the mapped drive on the server).
4. Reboot the Dell system.
