Fixes & Enhancements
This patch addresses the following five conditions that may be encountered in Dell OpenManage™ Server Administrator Storage Management version 5.1.0:
- Storage Management under Linux may no longer function when a PowerVault™ MD3000 is connected to a SAS5E controller on PowerEdge™ 6800, 6850, 2900, 2950, 2800, 2850, 1900, 1950, 1800 and 1850 systems.
-Storage Management will sometimes display blank Graphical User Interface (GUI) pages related to storage enclosures.
- Alert 2333 "An enclosure temperature sensor differential has been detected." will display as a Warning alert. This alert should be Informational and can be safely ignored.
- Alerts sent to the operating system alert log on Windows systems contain text before stating the actual error. You can ignore the additional text before the error message.
- When physically removing a disk from a Virtual Disk on a Perc 3/Di, the service "DSM SA Data Manager" will stop running after approximately 60 seconds.
Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
