NOTICE: Apply this update to PowerEdge managed node systems only. Do not install this update on the management station (the system that is running a system's management application, such as HP OpenView Network Node Manager Special Edition [NNM SE], Dell OpenManage IT Assistant, or other systems management consoles).
1. Install Dell OpenManage HIP 3.5.2 before installing the update.
2. Download the self-extracting executable file to your hard-disk drive.
3. Execute the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
4. After you unpack the files, you can delete the self-extracting file that you downloaded in step 2.

To update the Dell OpenManage HIP 3.5.2 on managed node servers running either Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Family or Windows NT, perform the following steps:
1. In Windows Explorer, double-click HIPup04.exe located in the directory where you unzipped the self-extracting zip file.
2. Click "Update." When the update is installed, a completion message box displays.

To update Dell OpenManage HIP version 3.5.2 on managed node servers running a Novell NetWare operating system, perform the following steps:
1. Unload "dcbase.nlm" from the system.
2. Map a disk drive from a workstation to the NetWare PowerEdge system's sys volume.
3. Copy the updated "dcbase.nlm" file to the appropriate location.
For example:
Copy x:\bin\dcbase.nlm y:\system\dell\dcbase.nlm (where x:\ is the location of the extracted files and y:\ is the mapped drive on the system).
