With the combination of PV 20x and PV 21x storage enclosures and PERC 2 controllers, a customer was finding the drives were reporting errors. The specific error was that the drive was going to BUS FREE (Unexpected BUS FREE) at an incorrect time. The firmware fix addresses this timing specific scenario.

Download the N495fw.exe file to your system. This file will create a bootable diskette configured to identify and download firmware only to Quantum Atlas III drives connected to PERC 2 controllers. The upgrade is performed by running the TridMcDl.exe utility after booting from the diskette. You must boot from the diskette created using N495fw.exe in order to have the correct drivers loaded for the PERC 2 controller.
