Fixes & Enhancements

This Connection now provides management of individual servers using Dell OpenManage Server Administrator. IT Assistant is only used when managing servers with agents prior to Server Administrator installed. Dell recommends that customers upgrade managed systems to Server Administrator to make the best use of this Connection.
Note: This Connection no longer performs the installation of Dell OpenManage systems management software applications including IT Assistant and Array Manager. Dell objects discovered by HP OpenView NNM are no longer populated into the Dell OpenManage IT Assistant database.
If you have legacy agents you need to manage, you will need to install their management applications independently. Again, Dell recommends that you upgrade to Server Administrator and the latest Array Manager to make the best use of this Connection. If you do continue to use the legacy agents and install their management applications on the system where the OpenView console is running, the applications will continue to be launched by the Connection.
This Connection supports Windows version of HP OpenView NNM versions 6.0-6.4.
This Connection supports in-context launch of Server Administrator and Dell Remote Access Controller (DRAC III, DRAC III/XT, ERA, and ERA/O) web consoles.
The Connection's reporting functions within HP OpenView are able to report Dell asset management information, including the display of service tag and asset tag information for discovered Dell systems.
