Management information bases (MIBs) are a collection of definitions, which define the properties of the managed object within the device to be managed. Every managed device keeps a database of values for each of the definitions written in the MIB. It is not the actual database itself - it is implementation dependant. Definition of the MIB conforms to the SMI given in RFC 1155. Internet MIB is given in RFC 1213 sometimes called the MIB-II

2. staPortAdminEdgePort OBJECT-TYPE
DESCRIPTION "The administrative value of the Edge Port parameter. A value of TRUE(1) indicates that this port should be assumed as an edge-port and a value of FALSE(2) indicates that this port should be assumed as a non-edge-port."
3. staPortOperEdgePort OBJECT-TYPE DESCRIPTION "The operational value of the Edge Port parameter. The object is initialized to the value of staPortAdminEdgePort and is set FALSE when a BPDU is received."
4. staPortAdminPointToPoint OBJECT-TYPE DESCRIPTION "The administrative point-to- point status of the LAN segment attached to this port. A value of forceTrue (0) indicates that this port should always be treated as if it is connected to a point-to- point link. A value of forceFalse(1)indicates that this port should be treated as having a shared media connection. A value of auto(2) indicates that this port is considered to have a point-to-point link if it is an Aggregator and all of its members are aggregatable, or if the MAC entity is configured for full duplex operation, either Through auto-negotiation or by management means."

7. staProtocolType OBJECT-TYPE DESCRIPTION "The version of Spanning Tree Protocol the bridge is currently running. The value 'stp(1)' indicates the Spanning Tree Protocol is as specified in IEEE 802.1D,'rstp(2)' indicates the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol is as specified in IEEE 802.1w and the value 'mstp(3)' indicates the Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol is as specified in IEEE 802.1s. Format Description:
This file contains a compressed (or zipped) set of files. Download the file to a folder on your hard drive, and then run (double-click) it to unzip the set of files. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

Download 1. Click the "Download Now" link to download the file. 2. If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click the "I agree" link to accept the agreement. 3. When the File Download window appears, click "Save" to save the file to your hard drive.
Extract Files 1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file to unzip the download package 2. Click Continue. 3. Specify the location to upzip the files. 4. Click on the OK button to extract files. 5. After a few seconds a dialog box will appear that says that all files were successfully unzipped. Click OK to exit from the installer.
Installation 1. Click the Start button and then click Run. 2. Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R59398 in the Open textbox and then click OK. 3. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
