Hard Drive Status LEDs on Dell™ PowerVault™ 745N with CERC SATA 1.5/6ch controller may not illuminate.

On a PV745N (Hardware RAID configuration), using CERC SATA 1.5/6ch controller, the Hard Drive status indicators may not work. The Hard Drive activity indicator is not affected and continues to work as expected. The Software RAID and Externally configured PV745N systems are not affected by this issue.

This section discusses three scenarios where the Hard Drive status indicators on a PV745N (using CERC SATA 1.5/6ch controller) may not work:
* Dell PV745N Hardware RAID configured systems (CERC SATA 1.5/6ch controller) with NAS image version 3.4.9.2 build 1052 shipped from the factory.

* Dell PV745N Hardware RAID configured systems (CERC SATA 1.5/6ch controller) using the version 3.4.9.2 build 1052 reinstallations CDs.

* Dell PV745N Hardware RAID configured systems (CERC SATA 1.5/6ch controller) with image builds prior to 1052 which have been updated to Open Manage Server Administrator (OMSA) 4.4. Note: The OMSA 4.4 package includes Array Manager 3.7.

NOTE: A user can check the status of the Hard Drives in Array Manager (or using SNMP). The lack of Hard Drive Status LED functionality does not change the behavior of the NAS system.
