* Please note that if your drive is connected to an add-in or onboard controller designated for SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) then you will need to connect your drives to the onboard SATA controller to perform the update. *

(PLEASE DON'T INTERRUPT THE FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCESS)


For Bootable Diskette:

1. Perform a full backup of your data.
2. Click on the (BR213714.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again.
3. Choose "Continue" in the next window to create a bootable
floppy.
4. Close all applications and restart system.
5. Press F12 and insert the floppy disk containing the firmware update.
6. Select boot from Floppy.
7. The Seagate Firmware Update will start automatically.
8. The utility will autoscan and update the appropiate Seagate ST3750630AS and ST31000340AS.
9. Once completed, a message indicating process completion will appear.
10. Remove the floppy diskette and power off your system.
11. Power on your system to continue normal operation.

11. Remove the CD and power off your PC.
12. Power on your PC to continue normal operation.

1. Perform a full backup of your data.

10. The utility will autoscan and update the appropiate Seagate ST3750630AS and ST31000340AS.
11. Once completed, a message indicating process completion will appear.
12. Remove the Bootable Media and power off your system.
