When running Array Manager version 3.5, removing a USB device may cause the Array Manager Disk Management Service to hang. The Array Manager console may also become unresponsive.

Installation
To install the Array Manager 3.5 USB Patch:

On a Microsoft Windows system:

1. Extract (unzip) the download package to a temporary directory.
The default is c:\patch350

2. Open a command prompt and cd to the directory to which you
unzipped the files.

3. The following options are available:

(a) upatch [no options]
Prompts the user to continue, copies the new file, makes a
backup of the original and restarts the Disk Management Service.

(b) upatch /?
Displays help.

(c) upatch /s
Silent operation. Copies the new file, makes a backup of the
original and restarts the Disk Management service without any
user interaction.

(d) upatch /norestart
Prompts the user to continue, copies the new file, makes a backup
of the original and does not restart the Disk Management service.

(e) upatch /s /norestart
Does not restart the Disk Management service when in silent mode

NOTE: In silent operation, no messages are displayed on the screen.
