Firmware update for "Samsung SM-332B 32X Combo Drive" Dell P/N 1R545,
3R327 & 4X204

The update will create a bootable diskette that must be used under DOS
(not under Windowed DOS box). This flash will update the drive's firmware
to T410. The user will need to remove the floppy disc and then reboot the
system before using the drive.

If the firmware flash fails ( e.g., system hangs, etc. ), reboot the
system and try again at least twice.

Fixes & Enhancements

This firmware provides the following fixes/enhancements to the Samsung SM
332B 32X Combo drive:

1) Provides DVD +R readability

2) Provides compatability with Roxio Version 5.1

Installation instructions

* Follow these steps to install
You will need a blank formatted 1.44MB floppy disk to proceed with the
flashing process.

Steps to flash drive:

1. Download the T410.exe file to a known directory.

2. Once the download is complete, navigate to the file and double click on
it to run the executable.

3. Follow the instruction prompts provided.

4. Once the flash disk has been created, restart your computer with the
floppy in drive A. The flash process will begin automatically.

5. Choose "Program" when prompted and hit the "Enter" key. The flash
process will complete with the prompt "Download complete Press any key."


6. Once the flash process has been completed successfully, remove the
diskette and reboot the system
