Download SRA 1.1 from the Drivers and Download page at
1. Go to and select the Drivers and Download link.
2. Find your MD storage array model (MD3600f or MD3620f only).
3. From the list of available downloads, choose SRA 1.1 from the Applications category.
4. Download the executable file to your system.

Installing SRA 1.1:

1. Launch the SRA 1.1 installation wizard contained in the downloaded package.
2. Review and accept the license agreement, then follow the installation prompts.
3. Once the installation completes, confirm the MD Storage Array VASA Provider appears in the available programs list.

The default installation path on a 32-bit Windows OS is C:\Program Files\Dell\Modular Disk Storage VASA Provider
The default installation path on a 64-bit Windows OS is C:\Program Files(x86)\Dell\Modular Disk Storage VASA Provider

Operating Systems:
All MD-supported Windows operating systems (see Support Matrix for complete list)

VMware® platforms required:
vSphere Client 4.1 or earlier
vCenter Server 4.1, 4.0 or 3.5

Note: VMware ESX-based protected and recovery sites configured with SRM 4.1 should share common processor architectures. Recovery solutions using cross-platform architectures -- for example, an AMD-based protected site paired with an Intel-based recovery site -- may experience problems during failover or failback operations.
