The following updates were made to the A06 BIOS to create the A07 BIOS:

Issues Fixed:
1. Fixed issue in which ISA devices could not be manually reconfigured
to use IRQ 10 in Device Manager.
2. Fixed issue in which some bootable CDs do not boot.
3. Improved accuracy of the battery discharge rate reported to ACPI for
purposes of battery time remaining calculations.
4. Fixed issue in which some external serial port devices attached to
the system may detect a break or framing error when the OS loads.
5. Fixed system hang seen when the user suspends the system using the
Sleep Button (<Fn+Esc>) then closes the lid and resumes after
warm docking to a docking station with a CRT attached.
6. Fixed issue in which horizontal lines and flickering may be seen
under Win2K and WinXP when running applications in a full screen
DOS window.
7. Fixed issue in which the OS may not be allowed to throttle the CPU
after the system is resumed from Standby.
8. Fixed issue in which the internal modem may be redetected by the OS
after enabling the modem to receive incoming calls then performing
a system reboot.
9. Fixed intermittent issue in which the system may fail to complete
POST with AC power attached and a fully discharged battery installed.
10. Fixed issue in which the user may need to suspend touchpad and
trackstick use for several seconds before either device will respond.

Enhancements:
1. Replaced <F12> with <Esc> as the hotkey used to exit the
One Time Boot Menu screen.
2. Improved battery status reporting algorithm to reduce time spent
in SMM when updating the OS battery information.
3. Optimized the thermal management algorithm.
4. Added support for newer revisions of the Pentium 4 processor.
5. Updated the NVIDIA GeForce2GO video BIOS to version 3.11.01.44.D1.

the file and copy it to a DOS-bootable diskette. With the diskette in the
floppy drive, reboot the system and run the program.

Floppy Disk Boot to Disk for I82-A07.EXE

Download

1. Click Download Now, to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In:
window appears.
3. From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4. If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
icon appears on your desktop.

Hard Drive Floppy Disk Creation

1. Get 1 blank, formatted floppy disks.
2. Double-click the new icon (it looks like a floppy diskette) on
the desktop. The Self-Extractor window appears.
3. Click Setup. An black MS-DOS window appears with a message
indicating that you need 1 floppy diskettes.
4. Press the [ENTER] key.
A message appears prompting you to insert a blank floppy diskette.
5. Insert a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
6. Press the [ENTER] key. A message appears indicating that all
data on the disk will be erased.
7. Press the [y] key and then press the [ENTER] key.
The files are copied to the floppy diskette. If the procedure requires
more than one diskette, repeat steps 5 – 7 until you reach the end of the diskette set.
8. After all the files have been copied to the last floppy disk,
press the [ENTER] key and the MS-DOS window closes.

Install

1. Insert the first (or the only) disk of the set into the Floppy
drive.
2. Click Start, click Shutdown, click Restart, and then click OK.
Windows XP Users need only click restart.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
