Custom Instructions for PV725N_A05.exe:


1) Download the self-extracting executable file PV725N_A05.exe from
http://support.dell.com.
2) From a Windows based system, double click the executable file and
click Unzip to extract the BIOS file A05.rom.
Note: The default extract path is c:\Dell\PV725N
3) Copy the BIOS file A05.rom to the PowerVault 725N system.
4) Open a Windows Explorer window on the PowerVault 725N by using
a direct attached Keyboard, monitor, and mouse or by using the
Terminal Service Advanced Client, which is located in the PowerVault
NAS Manager web interface.
5) Browse to "C:\Dell\Flash Utility".
6) Double click WinSFI to open up the AMI WinFlash Utility.
7) In the AMI WinFlash window, ensure that only the box for NVRAM
Programming is checked.
8) In the File drop-down menu, select Load BIOS and Flash.
9) When the Open window appears, use the folder's navigation icons to
navigate to the folder in which you placed the downloaded BIOS file.
10) Click Open.
11) When a message appears asking if you are sure you want to
update the BIOS, click Yes.
12) After the BIOS update is complete, a message will appear stating
that the flash ROM update is complete and asks if you want to restart
your system. Click Yes.
Note: Your system will reboot after clicking Yes.
