1. The notebook system must be docked and on a/c power.
2. There must be an external DP, DVI or VGA display connected to the dock.
3. The external display will flash during the Firmware Update process due to automatic reset of the MST HUB.
4. Do not undock the notebook system or remove a/c power until the Firmware Update is complete.

Download Update:

1. Click Download File to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears.
3. From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4. If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file icon appears on your desktop.

For Latitude E5540 and E5440
[NOTE: This update is only for E5540/E5440 configurations that include a dock/APR. If your configuation does not include a dock/APR, this update is not for you, do not proceed]
1. Notebook system must be docked and on a/c power.
2. Notebook system must have an external display connected to the dock (can be VGA, DisplayPort or DVI monitor)

Install
1. Double-click the new icon on the desktop to launch
2. Select Yes in the first dialog box to confirm
3. Select Install in the second dialog box to install the Firmware Update
4. Follow the remaining prompts to complete the update.
5. Restart system
