Fixes & Enhancements

1.0 HITACHI SAS 3.5"
No Previous Release
* Firmware Version A5F0 *
-The Hitachi SAS release for 15K 3.5" SAS hard drive firmware to fix Linux install hang in a RAID-0 config.
-During a Linux install small block sequential writes occur which brings out this bug and result in a hang
-During install when attached to SAS-5/iR running in RAID 0. The firmware will rev from A48B to A5F0.

2.0 FUJITSU SAS 3.5" and 2.5"
Previously Released as: R156342
* Firmware versions D207 and D109 *
-The Fujitsu SAS release for 15K 3.5" AL9LX and 10K 2.5" AL9SE SAS hard drive firmware to fix the possible
offline conditions. A change was implemented in firmware to return a different sense data under certain
rare error conditions. Making this change in some instances will allow the array controller the opportunity
to initiate its own built-in error correction procedures rather than taking the drive offline. The firmware
will rev from D206 to D207 on 3.5" and D108 to D109 on 2.5" drives.

3.0 MAXTOR SAS 3.5"
Previously Released as: R159954
* Firmware Version BP05 *
-This addresses Maxtor SAS HDD firmware issues, where under certain circumstances a hard disk drive may go
offline, hard disk drives (HDD), may report offline due to a timeout condition. If the HDD is unable to
complete commands, this may result in the controller reporting the HDD off line. This firmware update has
improved SMART Reporting, where drives can report SMART trips due to aggressive SMART Error Rate Measurement
counters during read verifies.

4.0 SEAGATE SAS 3.5"
Previously Released as: R157626
* Firmware versions S515 and T109 *
-This firmware affects the following Seagate SAS 3.5" 15k AND 10k hard disk drives. If the write cache option
of Windows Server 2000 is disabled, and SAS hard disks are connected to SAS5 I controller on PowerEdge
servers, the hard disks may go offline under a heavy I/O workload. This issue only impacts the Seagate SAS
hard disk with SAS 5I under Windows Server 2000.

5.0 SEAGATE 15K SAS 2.5"
Previously Released as: R157639
* Firmware versions S207 and SM04 *
