Procedure

  1. Remove the screw that secures the card-retention bracket to the chassis.
  2. Lift and slide the card-retention bracket out of the chassis.
    • NOTE: Your graphics card may have power-cable connectors.
  3. Press the releasing clip on the power-cable connectors and disconnect the power cables from the graphics card, if applicable.
  4. Locate the graphics card (SLOT1 or SLOT4) on the system board and make note of the graphics-card slot. For more information, see “ System-board components”.
    • NOTE: The appearance of the securing tab may be different on your computer.
  5. Press and hold the securing tab on the card connector and then ease the card out of the card slot.
