Using WD19S with Inspiron 16+ 7630

I have a very nice WFH setup (multiple monitors, mouse, camera, keyboard plugged into dock) for my work Latitude 5420 that uses the WD19S docking station with a 130W AC adapter and USB-C connector.

I just bought a new Inspiron 16+ 7630 with Thunderbolt4.0 port and 130W AC power cord as my home computer.

I'd love to use my work setup for my home laptop by just swapping out computers.

Questions:

1) will the WD19S power my Inspiron as-is?

2) If not, what mods do I have to make to the dock and will it remain backwards compatible to my Latitude?

3) If not, I guess I'm buying a UD22 which is supposed to be backward compatible with my Latitude.

Thanks!

No.  You will need the original power supply, as the WD19 docks supply only 100 W.

The UD22 supplies 95W.

If you want to power that Inspiron you need the WD22TB4 dock, which can deliver 130W.

Thank you, but when I look at the official Dell dock compatibility guide, they list only the UD22 as being compatible and not the WD22TB4.  However, I've since read from other users that (1) the Inspiron + line is not meant to be usable with a dock for power delivery, and (2) the WD22TB4 does indeed work even though Dell says it shouldn't.

Does this sound consistent with your understanding?
