Engaging with Diverse Talent

We strive to create a work environment where differences are valued and everyone has an opportunity to meet their highest potential. We understand that there are many different dimensions of diversity that define our culture, including race and ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, and language. Below are just a few of our programs that address issues affecting all of us.

Dinner & Networking is a networking program targeting young professionals of color by offering quarterly events where participants are connected with executives across Dell Technologies that are passionate about diversity, inclusivity and empowering the next generation of talent. By creating a safe and engaging space, team members are able to access executive networking and educational experiences focused around increasing business acumen, and strategy and career planning.

Men of Color and Women of Color are gender, generation, and race/ethnicity focused programs focused on communities who share common experiences. With a focus on personal and professional development, diverse talent acquisition support and community outreach, MOC and WOC offer a portfolio of services, programs and tools team members and business units can use in collectively bringing forth solutions to attract, retain, develop and promote diverse talent across Dell Technologies.

Recruiting Diverse Talent

In partnership with our Talent Acquisition team, the Global Diversity and Inclusion team works tirelessly to find and attract the best diverse talent in the world. One way we achieve this is by maintaining relationships with top universities. We are proud to partner with one such university, Northeastern University which offers two programs that bring opportunities to diverse STEM talent. Another way we source for talent is by partnering with organizations like Management Leadership for Tomorrow, an organization dedicated to developing the next generation of diverse leaders.

ALIGN Program: Northeastern University offers the ALIGN Masters of Science in Computer Science (CS) program that provides a two semester on-ramp for people who have studied something other than CS, leading to an MS in CS degree. Coupling an undergraduate degree in another field together with an MS in CS is an exciting employment opportunity and ensures graduates are vastly better equipped to succeed. Through our partnership with Northeastern, our collective goal is to permanently move the national needle in diversity in tech by supporting students in making a leap into CS, increasing diversity of race, gender and thought in the US tech workforce.

S-POWER Scholarship Program: Northeastern University launched the Student Pathways Opening World Energy Resources (S-POWER) Scholarship Program to revolutionize the teaching with which colleges and universities successfully educate transfer students, particularly for those who need financial assistance, under-represented minorities, women, and first-generation students. Recipients of this scholarship are known as “Dell S-POWER Scholars” and we provide advice and mentorship to do everything in our power to ensure these recipients get employed.

Management Leadership for Tomorrow: MLT’s program works with diverse students who are undergraduates or have their MBAs to prepare them for the workforce. They offer services such as training, career coaching, job search and networking. When students come out of this program they have the leadership skills organizations require. That makes this program an excellent source for Dell to recruit diverse candidates.

The Consortium: The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is a continually growing and evolving alliance of some of the world’s leading graduate business schools and business organizations, supported by the strength of their extended network of students and alumni. The Consortium connects people, institutions and companies that have shown a commitment to the organization’s mission, and positions them for even greater success. Specifically, the Consortium fosters a network of the country’s best students, leading MBA programs and corporate partners, including Fortune 500 companies. Through corporate partnership, Dell leverages this program as a source to recruit diverse MBA candidates.
