Updates to Windows 10 may result in loss of functionality for Fingerprint Readers on any laptop running Dell Data Protection.
This has been resolved with the 8.9.1/1.9.1/1.0.1 release.
Microsoft has introduced a new service, called WinBio, that manages Biometrics on any device. This fix will allow us to sync biometric credentials into this service to ensure proper functionality.
Once this version is in place, if we experience another upgrade, we will have to reboot twice before functionality will return.
