This article provides information on Dell PowerEdge 12G Servers With Numerous PERC H710 or H810 RAID Controllers May Take 30 Minutes to Boot Into UEFI.

Issue

PowerEdge 12G servers may take 30 minutes to boot into the UEFI interface.

Answer

PowerEdge 12G servers that have numerous PERC H710 and H810 controllers with very large quantities of hard disk drives attached may take an extended period of time to boot into the LifeCycle controller. In rare cases, it may take up to 30 minutes. There is no work around except to wait the approximate 30 minutes, at which time the system should enter the Life Cycle controller.
